In recent months the cost of shipping goods by sea has increased significantly due to a surge in demand of consumer goods and a shortage of shipping containers.
Good packaging efficiency is critical not only to help reduce shipping costs but to maximize the use of materials and minimize the environmental impact of shipping.
We normally package our products in a range of standard size cartons. However, standard does not always mean efficient.
So we asked our packaging supplier to recheck the packaging design of a new product that is due to be manufactured next month as a case study.
They found that by making some small adjustments to the standard pack design the quantity per pallet can be increased by 11% for the same pallet height.
We know that optimizing packaging design is a key part of improving the eco-credentials of our CPE power supplies. To find out more contact firstname.lastname@example.org
