Background
While a customer was starting the design of their next generation entire home control unit, they were looking for a 300W PSU, specifically in a desktop version (not to crowd the end customer’s control rack where all equipment is mounted).
Problem
The main engineering lead on this project was relying on a legacy product that they knew existed, however, when reviewing the spec, our customer’s engineering team realised that the unit was never upgraded to current safety and efficiency standards and there was no plan in doing so, this all took place when our customer was far into the design phase.
Solution
Turning to NetBit, we immediately offered an existing PSU that was available and in production for a different customer, although some tweaks needed to be made and safety needed to be redone, we managed to turn things around on this high-end customer project.
