NetBit has officially joined the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a globally recognised non-profit organisation that supports companies, cities, and other entities in measuring and disclosing their environmental impact. This significant step reflects our commitment to transparency and sustainability in operations.
What is CDP?
The CDP’s mission is to drive environmental action by promoting accountability and encouraging businesses to address climate change and environmental degradation. By participating in the CDP, NetBit aligns itself with thousands of organisations worldwide dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future.
How CDP Operates
- Collects Data: CDP gathers comprehensive information on companies’ greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, deforestation, and water security to provide a clear picture of each company’s environmental impact.
- Scores Companies: Based on the collected data, CDP scores companies on their environmental performance and publishes the results on its website for public transparency.
- Provides Feedback: CDP offers detailed feedback to companies, helping them understand their performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Publishes an A List: Each year, CDP publishes an A List, highlighting companies that have received the highest grades for their environmental efforts and leadership.
NetBit has earned the highest rating in the CDP’s 2024 Climate Score, securing an “SME B for Climate” designation. This top-tier rating underscores NetBit’s proactive approach to environmental responsibility, highlighting our successful initiatives in reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, and implementing sustainable business practices.
As NetBit continues to innovate and grow, our commitment to environmental sustainability remains a core value, ensuring that our operations contribute positively to the planet’s future.
